Thomas Heckmann
Tom Heckmann is a Global Senior Business Architect APM/EAM at IFS and supports DSOs/TSOs and other companies in the energy and other asset intensive industries in implementing and applying asset management and data driven maintenance to support them in creating value from their assets.
After working for almost two decades on projects throughout Europe and the Middle East, Tom knows what truly drives acceptance and conversion throughout the asset management journey: it’s the clear alignment of asset strategies and decisions with corporate objectives.
Tom has been engaged in more than 20 projects where process and performance data is used to manage asset performance, risk and expenditures in order to optimize maintenance. Beyond the move from reactive and planned to predictive and prescriptive maintenance, a dedicated focus is the simulation and analyzes of varying maintenance strategies.
Tom holds a Master in Geoinformatics from the University of Trier.
In 2014, together with 20 asset management enthusiasts, he founded the German Chapter of the Institute of Asset Management which he chaired for the first year.
