Michel actively participates as Vice-Chair of the supervisory board of the Amelander Energie Coöperatie, a member of the steering committee of Sustainable Ameland, the legal and tax committee of the trade association Holland Solar, and the Dutch competition law and Dutch Energy law associations.

He is deeply involved with the 2tokens Foundation, working on clean energy token use cases, supported by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate and the European Union.
