Margarita is the Chief Digital Transformation Officer at Iberdrola, the leading energy group in Europe and the second largest electric utility worldwide by market capitalization. Iberdrola supplies energy to nearly 100 million people worldwide and leads the energy transition towards a sustainable and decarbonized model in key markets such as Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, Brazil, and Australia. Margarita holds an Industrial Engineering degree from ICAI and has been with the company for 17 years, having previously worked for other companies in the sector. At Iberdrola, she has held various positions, including Head of Gas Contracts Management and Head of Digitalization at Global Energy Management. Margarita has been in her current position for three years, focusing on promoting the use of new technologies for process transformation and value adding to the businesses, to accelerate growth, operational excellence, and user experience, for both customers and employees.
