Giorgio Vielmini
Giorgio Vielmini is a Regional Technical Manager for SEL in Europe. Giorgio received his Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Genoa University in 2001 with a specialization in telecommunication systems. Giorgio has completed a Master in Cybersecurity from Sole 24 Ore in 2024. He is a registered professional engineer with the Engineering registry in Milan, Italy.
Giorgio was working as a Software engineer at Ansaldo Segnalamento Ferroviario where he was involved in the design and development of railway signaling systems. He moved to Sirti where he led the development of traffic control systems for mass transportation systems. He joined SEL in 2009 as Application Engineer.
Giorgio has been extensively involved in automation and integration projects related to substation automation systems, SCADA, networking technology and cybersecurity for more than 20 years.
