Organisation Area of Focus
WeForming aims to revolutionize energy management through Intelligent Grid-Forming Buildings (iGFBs). Our objective is to transform buildings from passive consumers into strategic players in managing the energy ecosystem. WeForming will develop six demonstrators, each tailored to unique needs and perspectives, based on four pillars:
- First, the Operational pillar focuses on optimizing the functionality of iGFBs to maximize efficiency and predictability.
- Second, the Interoperability pillar ensures seamless communication and data exchange between iGFBs and other energy stakeholders for a more connected energy ecosystem.
- Third, the New Business Models pillar explores the creation of sustainable and competitive frameworks for iGFBs and smart cities.
- Finally, the Smart City Enabling pillar emphasizes regulatory analysis, societal and environmental impacts, and the promotion of innovative, interoperable solutions to accelerate the transition toward smarter, greener urban landscapes.
What will we be doing / showcasing at the event: Our project coordinator, Konstantinos Kotsalos from EUROPEAN DYNAMICS, will take part in a session on the 24th of October at 10 am, along with other EU-funded projects such as META BUILD, EVELIXIA and ENERGATE under the topic of "Smart Buildings".
