Smart meter energy consumption data holds great potential for valuable insights that can help accelerate the energy transition. Both grid operators and energy suppliers could greatly benefit from having full access in order to improve load forecasting and identify new commercial opportunities. Smart meter data however is often extremely difficult to access as it contains privacy sensitive information about individual households. BlueGen.ai unlocks this data by mimicking this data in a new synthetic data set. This new dataset contains the same statistical properties and trends but does not expose information that can be linked to an individual household from the original data set. Now the data is safe to use for sharing, research, training new machine learning models or to test new systems. All of which ultimately help to accelerate the energy transition.'
