SEMPRE-BIO updated one-pager
The SEMPRE-BIO project, funded by the Horizon Europe program (HORIZON-CL5-2021-D3-03-16), pioneers innovative biomethane solutions. This consortium is made by 16 partners of 6 different countries and counts with a budget of almost 10M. The project, which started in November 2022 and will last for 42 months, aims to demonstrate novel and cost-effective biomethane production solutions to support circular economy and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
Our goals are to increase the cost-effectiveness of the conversion process in biomethane production, diversify biomethane production technologies, and contribute to market uptake. To achieve this, we will test 5 innovative technologies in three case studies using 3 non-fermentable feedstocks.
